Corporate Social Responsibility Progress at Graebel

Reinforcing our People-first commitment in a year of disruption and change

It’s been a year like no other in recent memory. The changes and disruptions that have occurred to our normal routines and way of life around the world – and in the Global Mobility industry  – are significant. We navigate a vastly new world in 2020 and find our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts more central and more critical to serving our clients and employees in the months and years ahead.

CSR is more than just an acronym or a buzz phrase at Graebel. We are committed to action. Our CEO, Bill Graebel, always says that “through our work we can leave the world better than we found it.” So, each year we find ways to demonstrate the action behind that sentiment.

Equitable, safe and sustainable: Commitments that turn into action

Our 2019-2020 CSR Report highlights the activities and results that demonstrate Graebel’s obligation and willingness to maintain an equitable, safe and sustainable working environment.

Each year, the UN Global Compact conducts an annual review process that now includes 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). And for the fourth consecutive year, we compiled our efforts and confirmed our active participation with the United Nations.

As we conducted this year’s CSR assessment, we discovered that when we create the opportunity for our people to do the right thing, they step up quickly and deliver with energy and creativity.

In our 2019-2020 Report, you’ll read how we are:

  • Expanding our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) program to make it more robust and encourage more participation at all levels. To further its growth and development, Valencia Culbreath will lead all DEI efforts as our global head.
  • Leading an education and support campaign for timely COVID-19 response, both at the Graebel employee level and by partnering with suppliers to help clients navigate the uncertainly at the onset of Coronavirus, and rebound, reform and recommit to help their mobile employees and ensure exceptional employee experiences.
  • Adopting a new ‘Action Manager’ tool to help align our goals more closely with the U.N. Global Compact’s Sustainable Development Goals
  • Participating in and supporting local charities to enable our global employees to do the right thing on a local scale to make an impact within their own communities.

Having a people-first culture – and following our guiding principles of understand clearly, care deeply and helping our employees and clients alike grow purposefully – is reflected in our Corporate Social Responsibilities as well. Our 2019-2020 CSR Report and alignment with the U.N. Global Compact validates these principles and reinforces our values of Truth, Love and Integrity.

Now more than ever, we support and challenge Graebel team members at all levels and partners around the globe to embody and apply our values and put them into action in the workplace and in their professional interactions with our clients and community.

As we say at Graebel, “Here’s to the World Ahead.”
